Witold Rybczynski hates the new SF Federal Building almost as much as I do, in Slate.
This is old, but I was reminded of it recently by an out-of-town friend remarking on the building. There’s no excuse for naked concrete walls on an urban street frontage. This is 21st-century San Francisco, not communist Russia.
