Many of my friends, in addition to being (naturally) tens, are also quick-witted and prolific contributors to the uh… how I say? blogosphere. I’ve never been particularly good at following suit, despite a few sophomoric and at times oddly secretive attempts. I suppose a general distraction/dilution of internet energies is partly to blame, but I’m trying to practice real talk of late, so let’s be real and pin most of it on a raging inadequacy complex.

Anyway, I’m optimistic (sorta) about the tumblr format, mostly because I enjoy the bite-sized aspect of things like Twitter, and I enjoy aping a brooding sophistication via the juxtaposition of seemingly esoteric things. If only I could work tapered pants and learn to enjoy Joy Division, I’d be really cool.

Anyway, tumblr. I’m lagging behind the likes of Maria, Brant, Meave, and Jordan, and you should never expect anything half as interesting from me. I’m a vehement urbanist and a lazy historian and a neighborhoodizen of the 94117 and a transit advocate and these are the only things I talk about, except of course, myself. Luckily for you, the tumblr format lends itself to a more dynamic arrangement of media and not long self-indulgent literary posts.

Um, after this one. Blerg.
